Back To School

Dillon returned to school on Monday. He was so bored at home! He's really got the hang of the wheelchair now. Doing wheelies and all that naughty stuff. Yesterday when I dropped him off, all of his friends were waiting for him by the front doors. It was awesome! Dillon has great friends.

The Love

Typically, passengers hate us airline employees. We can't control the weather or make sure bags in other cities are transferred correctly. Hard to believe, but it's true. When lighters were banned on aircraft, a smoker accused me of being in cahoots with the lighter companies. Curses! How did he know?!? Rarely are we appreciated at all. This little gem was left at the ticket counter one night.

MST

MST only happens once a month. If I'm lucky, I'm able to go and spend some quality time with my friends. I was thinking on the drive to Utah, how nice it would be to live closer to Joel and Paul. But then again, do I really WANT to be farted on more often? No. Do I really need all that paper and plastic wrap in my drinks? Um, not really. And seriously, do i need a wiener drawn on my receipt? Certainly not! And I'm not talking about Joel.

Listening to them up close in their very own trees for 2 whole days!

Who wants to live by me?

Dillon's Feet

Dillon has been having a lot of pain in his feet, for months. So we went to see his doctor at Primary Children's in Salt Lake City. They took x-rays and showed us what the problem was.

Both of Dillon's feet look like the 'High arch' picture. The navicular bone is too high. The doctor recommends surgery, of course, to lower the navicular and fuse it to the ankle bone. It would just be a day surgery, but the recovery is 6 weeks of NO walking or weight on Dillon's feet, at all. The doctor suggested doing 2 separate surgeries so Dillon could just use crutches, but Dillon hates that idea. Going under the knife Twice! Dillon is scheduled to have his surgery on Aug 6th. I will take work off and be home to wheel him around!

Fairbanks, AK

Alaska is beautiful. Unfortunately, I left my camera there.
It was awesome to see Michele. But, she has my camera.
I went to Sex and The City. We took pics. But I don't have them.
I saw the Pipe Line. I don't have pictures to prove it.
I swam at Chena Hot Springs. I can't prove that either.
There was a cute squirrel there too. I can't show you.
Michele has a nice dog. You can't see him either.
Alaska was my 28th state.

Is This A Joke?

Seriously, what is up with our weather?! I just acquired a sun burn on Sunday. Then we get a blizzard today? It has been snowing heavily for the past 3 hours. MAKE IT STOP!
I just watched the 10 o'clock news. They said Rigby got 5 inches of snow!

Free Peepers

Somehow we seem to end up with extra animals. We were in CAL Ranch Saturday and they had just received a new shipment of ducklings and chicks. 4 of the ducklings weren't doing very well and the associate had the heat lamp to close to them. So James let her know. She argued a little, then she decided we could take them for free if we thought we could save them. Anything was better than letting her continue to slowly cook them. Of course we said "Yes",very rarely do we say "No". The ducklings were doing much better out of the heat. But unfortunately one was too bad and didn't last. For now they are living in a bird cage in out basement. We don't even know what kind of ducks they are. Just domestic ducks.
