It was so amazing to see all this. We were in Puerto Vallarta 5 nights and went to see the turtles 4 of those nights.

Sea Turtle Heaven
I finally got a copy of my picture with the female sea turtle that was laying eggs. She is an Olive Ridley Sea Turtle. If you have ever been around Green Sea turtles, these will seem like midgets in comparison. We were so surprised to see her laying at the same time babies were hatching.
This is one of the many babies that we saw on the beach. I absolutely love the ocean and almost anything that lives in it. This was such a treat for me!
Here's a batch that just came out of the sand. There is a conservation project that keeps track of the eggs being laid, then surrounds the nest with the wire. They collect the babies and take them to a nursery. They return them to the ocean after a few weeks when they are a little bigger and not as vulnerable.
It was so amazing to see all this. We were in Puerto Vallarta 5 nights and went to see the turtles 4 of those nights.
