Dr. Visit

Dillon had a check up yesterday, so we made the drive to Salt Lake. I don't have the actual x-ray, but Dillon's feet look something like this on the inside now.Except Dillon's left foot has a broken screw in it! The Doc said it isn't bad unless it starts hurting, so it's staying put. The surgery was to fuse 2 joints together, but the left foot didn't fuse. This the Doc said is also Not a problem, unless there is pain in that foot later. So right now, everything is doing well.

Look what I did

I've been messing around with Photoshop this weekend. I'm no Nanette Hill or anything, but I'm learning.

We have been in the process of selling James' surplus items. He has a few. We decided to try Craig's List. I've heard people rave about it and it's free. Here is a reply to one of our adds. I'm wondering if this person is legit.

I'm so going to call and do business with him! He doesn't even live in Idaho, 314 is St Louis!! Don't bother calling him, no one answers and there's no voice mail.

This is the second attempt to scam us. I reported the first one to the Federal Trade Commission. I guess they'll be hearing from me again.

Oh, Seventeen

Damion has been on us to get him a snowboard package for his Birthday and Christmas gifts. We didn't think we were going to be able to, but a screamin' deal turned up at the last minute.
So, on his Birthday we made him drive to Pocatello with us to go look at some tame fallow deer. He was not amused to drive an hour to see something we didn't need. But you know us, we have all kinds of animals, anything is possible. We got to the address and went in. Damion was pissed and just wanted to stay in the truck. We bought the snowboard, came back out and Damion was stoked! He had thought for sure that he wasn't getting a snowboard this year.
To top it all off, Damion found some skanks undies in one of the boots. Screamin' deal indeed.

Snow Churro

To heck with snowmen. Around these parts we like to make something a little more ambitious. Snow Donkey's!
The snow pony's are fun too.

Dillon's a Teenager!!

Dillon turned 13 yesterday. I can't believe it. When did my boys get so grown up? We got him an air soft machine gun, with safety glasses.

The boys all took turns shooting each other.

Astoria, OR

We spent Thanksgiving in Astoria, Oregon with James' Mom, Aunt Penny and sister Hilary. We all stayed at a cheap motel and ate at the Pig N Pancake next door.
We went to a few beaches, drove on some bridges, saw waterfalls, looked at fish, visited a town named after us, the usual stuff.

Visit

Dillon had a check up for his feet on Monday. He's doing really well, the bones are healing great! So, Dillon's doc is letting him wear regular shoes again!
We met with Paul at Thanksgiving Point, had dinner and saw the animals. It was memorable.

Making Bank

Since I no longer work for SkyWest airlines, I've become resourceful.
Damion is a hard worker, let's negotiate a price.

Until Next Time

It was another great Halloween. I think it's my all time favorite holiday. I love an excuse to scare people. Unfortunately, since we live in the country, we don't get trick or treaters. Sad.

Danger!

When your spray paint is clogged, and you poke a pin down the little hole on top, what's the worst that could happen? Leslie knows.
You can't say I didn't warn ya.

The Casts Come Off

Monday Dillon was able to get his casts off! He itched so badly, poor guy. Now he is wearing a pair of orthopedic walking boots. He will be able to try standing next Monday. His incisions haven't healed completely, due to the casts, so the Doc wanted to wait another week before putting any weight on his feet.

The first thing Dillon did when we got home was take a bath! Luckily, Nemo was there to supervise. If you look closely, you can see the skin (yuck, i know) floating on the water. We had to drain the tub and refill it again.

It was huge event in our house and the cats had the best seats. Too bad they don't use the toilet, like Joel's kitty.

Improvements

We finally have the sprinkler system in and everything hydro-seeded. I know, this picture just says it all. But it's really awesome, seriously.

Then we went onto the driveway. Curbing is being poured today. Yay!
We will have to wait until Spring for the asphalt. Our next project will be paying of medical bills.

Back To School

Dillon returned to school on Monday. He was so bored at home! He's really got the hang of the wheelchair now. Doing wheelies and all that naughty stuff. Yesterday when I dropped him off, all of his friends were waiting for him by the front doors. It was awesome! Dillon has great friends.
